Oklahoma
Route 66
In 1992, Jim Ross was the first to publish a Route 66 guidebook devoted exclusively to the Sooner State. It was called "Oklahoma Route 66: The Cruiser's Companion" and helped many a fledgling 66 road warrior find their way across the state.
Almost immediately, Jim began collecting materials for a more complete guide. In 2001, in time for the 75th Anniversary of Route 66, he published "Oklahoma Route 66." It contains a wealth of information about the various alignments and their dates, detailed maps, and a multitude of historical photos and postcards. Many of the photos are from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and have never seen before.
"Oklahoma Route 66" is a must for any 66er's shelf - and glove compartment!
