Route 66
Apparel
Anderson Productions / cruisinroute66.com is pleased to carry quality, distinctively different Route 66 clothing and apparel. The items are our own, not a resale of someone else's product line.
Like many things about Route 66, there are stories behind the two distinctive logos we use. If you are interested, click the appropriate design and read on. Clicking on a design launches a separate window. Once you've read the explanation, close its window, then use the navigation bar on the left to view our products or scroll down and click on the links at the bottom of this page. Be sure to read the Washing Tips which can be found immediately below the two logo designs.
Washing Tips: Although everyone wears tee shirts, not everyone knows the best way to extend the life of silk-screened designs. Turn the shirt inside out then wash and dry. This prevents the ink from rubbing up against buttons, zippers and the agitator fins of the washer or the drum of the dryer. If possible, use cold water in the washer and low heat in the dryer - or better yet, line dry.
Washing embroidered caps and visors is another matter altogether. For caps, you can try those forms you see advertised that fit in your dishwasher. However, we'd be afraid the hot water might make the dye on the embroidered thread bleed. Probably the best solution would be to experiment on a cap to which you are not too attached and see what works. Maybe hand washing, using a soft toothbrush to scrub on the stubborn spots, might be the thing to try. Be sure you wash the entire cap or visor, and not just a spot. Otherwise, you could end up with splotchy results.
